Abstract
The hydrophobic surface that is difficult to wet has the ability to naturally hinder the contact between the solid and liquid phases, which has a positive effect on the corrosion resistance of the material. By adopting two methods, laser processing technology and electric brush plating processing technology, rough surfaces with different morphologies are prepared on B10 copper-nickel alloy. It is found that after the laser processing technology is used, a raised rib-like texture structure will be generated at the edge position of the scanning path of the focal spot. After the electric brush plating processing technology is used, a cauliflower-like shape will grow on the raised rib-like texture structure processed by the laser The nickel clusters appear in clusters and are regularly arranged and connected into lines with the extension of the raised rib-like texture structure, forming a'laser-assisted nickel-plated surface' with rough structures of different sizes. In order to explore the changes in the corrosion resistance of the rough surface prepared, the wettability test and electrochemical test of the copper-nickel alloy experimental samples with different processing methods were carried out.
The results show that laser-assisted composite nickel plating has a positive effect on the corrosion resistance of copper-nickel alloys. When in an atmospheric environment, the composite coating can exert its surface hydrophobicity, allowing the corrosive solution to flow and roll off, which is beneficial to the corrosion protection of the material. ; When immersed for a long time in a salt water-containing medium environment, the composite coating has a lower potential than a copper-nickel alloy and has a preferential corrosion tendency. It becomes a sacrificial anode and protects the substrate, and the nickel metal is prone to passivation due to the coating. The corrosion rate measured is slower than that of the polished substrate copper-nickel alloy.
